She called upon the world for the answers to her doubt.
She longed for a guidebook or even just a handout.
But what she heard next, she could not believe.
A soft voice that whispers:
“I wish I had the answers for you.
I sincerely do.
‘Cause how easy would that be?
A clear explanation for our existence,
bullet-pointed, highlighted and annotated.
All questions answered.
All uncertainty wholly dissipated.
But not one of us knows.
I find comfort in that;
That we’re all in this mess together.
Each of us just as confused as one another
Separately living our lives
and going through the motions.
Carrying a sense of purpose,
that gives us the strength to keep going.
